The Departed producer Graham King is looking to develop primetime cop dramas with international cooperation. This follows the news that he has set up a TV division with former Lionsgate boss Craig Cegielski.

GK-Films has launched GK-TV, which will be run by Cegielski, who was previously EVP, programming and sales, international TV, Lionsgate.

Cegielski told TBIvision that the company is looking to develop primetime 10pm dramas.

"We'll do some adaptations, some original commissions and also become the studio partner for in-house productions. Our expertise will be in the one hour procedurals; workplace and cop dramas," he said.

Brit Graham King has produced a number of high profile movies including The Departed with Martin Scorsese and has just finished producing the remake of Hunter S Thompson's The Rum Diary with Johnny Depp. Cegielski, who was responsible for distributing series including Mad Men and Weeds at Lionsgate, said that it would be looking for similar A-list creatives to develop television projects.

The company will also be talking to broadcasters and producers around the world for international coproductions and will also be distributing its projects. It hopes to have its development slate up and running in the next twelve months.
