Shine International, the international arm of the Elisabeth Murdoch-run UK indie producer, has sold its cooking series Masterchef to a raft of international broadcasters.

This follows the news last month that Fox has greenlit a US version of the cooking format starring Gordon Ramsey and will produce it in association with Shine-owned US producer Reveille and Ramsey's One Potato Two Potato production company.

Shine International has sold the canned British series to New Zealand's TV One, Romania's Pro TV and Greece's Mega TV.

Norwegian broadcaster TV3 has also commissioned a local version of the show to be produced by Shine-owned producer Rubicon.
