Nickelodeon US has commissioned a pilot for Summer Camp, which will be produced by Reveille and E1 Entertainment and written by High School Musical's Peter Barsocchini.

The 30-minute pilot follows a group of boys and girls who go away to camp and chronicles their adventures. It will be directed by Lev L. Spiro, who has directed episodes of Jonas, Everybody Hates Chris and The Wizards of Waverley Place TV movie.

Production is set to start later this month. Peter Barsocchini, writer on Disney's successful High School Musical franchise, is set to exec produce alongside Reveille's Todd Cohen and Carolyn Bernstein, E1 Entertainment's John Morayniss and Laurence Mark, who has produced movies including Dreamgirls.
