Netflix reimagines Sabrina the Teenage Witch

An untitled Sabrina the Teenage Witch series is coming to Netflix, which will be based on an Archie Comics graphic novel The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

The series imagines the origins of Sabrina in a dark coming-of-age story. It will be tonally similar to horror classics Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist.

Sabrina’s 20x60mins series comes off the heels of Riverdale, which was also based on characters from Archie Comics.

Produced by Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, the series will be directed by Lee Toland Krieger. Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Jon Goldwater will executive produce.

Roberto Aguiree-Sacasa will write and executive produce the series.
