FremantleMedia names Mexico MD

Formats-logo-460_2Coty CaglioloFremantleMedia has a new managing director for its Mexican production business.

Coty Cagliolo has been upped to the position from her current role as VP of development across Latin America and the US Hispanic region.

She had joined FremantleMedia Mexico has creative director in 2013, the same year the business had named Adrian Santucho as CEO. He was later upped to Latin American chief executive before leaving to join US Hispanic broadcaster Univision.

Cagliolo will now report to FremantleMedia COO and CEO of emerging market Sangeeta Desai, who said: “The Latin American markets continue to be a key focus for FremantleMedia and with Coty’s drive, experience and strong relationships throughout Mexico we’re in a good position to explore growth opportunities in the region.”

Cagliolo will be responsible for the day-to-day running and management of FremantleMedia Mexico, overseeing strategic moves and working to develop and produce new Mexican and pan-regional programming.

Since FremantleMedia opened an office in Mexico, the company has produced Cocineros Mexicanos (Mexican Cooks) and México Tiene Talente (Mexico’s Got Talent) for TV Azteca and 100 Mexicanos Dijieron (Family Feud) for Televisa.

It has produced around 550 hours this year for Mexican and pan-regional broadcasters on a commission or work-for-hire basis, according to its parent.

Cagliolo has held various roles in Latin American production, including being creative director and director of content at Endemol Argentina, which is now part of Endemol Shine Latin America.
