Come Dine with Me returns to Spain

Formats-headerCome Dine With MeSpanish network Cuatro has ordered a local version of ITV Studios’ evergreen format Come Dine with Me.

Warner Bros. International Television Production will produce Ven a Cenar Conmigo for Mediaset España-owned Cuatro.

The Spanish version will see five amateur chefs holding dinner parties to a bid to win €3,000 (US$3,400).

The series was last on air in Spain ten years ago on Antenna 3.

Earlier this year, Mongol TV in Mongolia bought the format, which began life on Channel 4 in the UK.

It has now been sold into more than 40 territories internationally.

“The success of the show speaks for itself and we are delighted that WBITVP Spain has become the latest international production company to acquire the rights, and Mediaset España the latest international network to commission the format,” said Jennifer Ebell, senior VP of EMEA sales at ITV Studios Global Entertainment, the sales arm of UK broadcaster ITV
