GORDON_RAMSAY_PLATES_DPS-resizeCelebrity chef and TV host Gordon Ramsay and National Geographic’s global networks CEO Courteney Monroe are the first two keynote speakers announced for MIPCOM 2017.

Both Ramsay and Monroe’s keynote addresses form part of the overall MIPCOM 2017 conference theme, ‘The global race for creative connections’.

During his keynote, scheduled for Monday, October 16, Ramsay will reveal the motivation behind the TV personality, his views on enduring appeal for audiences around the world, how he maintains his brand across restaurant and media empires – and his plans for the next 25 years.

Ramsay’s series include Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares, The F Word, MasterChef USA and Culinary Genius.

The chef, known for his expletive-laden language, first attended MIPCOM as a chef on the yacht of late Australian TV supremo Reg Grundy.

Ramsay owns two production companys, One Potato Two Potato and Studio Ramsay, both of which are joint ventures with All3Media.

Monroe, meanwhile, will discuss the scripted strategy at 21st Century Fox-owned factual network Nat Geo.

The network has heavily invested in drama through series such as Genius, Mars, The State and The Long Road Home, which will be showcased.

The global entertainment content market, MIPCOM takes place in Cannes, France from October 16-19.
