Fox sells thousands of hours of Turkish drama

Scripted-logo-460_2Fox Networks Group Content Distribution has sold over two and half thousand hours of Turkish drama to international broadcasters.

FNGCD has been building its wings of loveTurkish drama business, with a pipeline of product from the Turkish Fox Turkey net, and the latest raft of sales see it strike deals with existing buyers and new customers in Africa and Asia.

In Europe, Romania’s Antenna has bought Kıraz Mevsımı (Cherry Season) and CME’s ProTV has acquired Wings of Love (pictured).

Another CME channel, Nova in Croatia, has taken Wings of Love. The latest season of That is My Life has been licensed to Telewizja in Poland and TV Pink in Serbia.

The Modern Times Group has acquired Cherry Season for TV3 in Lithuania, In Love Again for TV3 Lithuania and TV3 Latvia, and That is My Life for TV3 in Bulgaria.

In Lat-Am, Chile’s Canal 13 has bought Aşk Yenıden (In Love Again) and Caracol TV in Colombia has taken four seasons of O Hayat Benım (That is My Life), which has also been picked up by Canal 10 in Uruguay and Telemundo in Puerto Rico.

In Asia, Khabar (Kazakh TV) in Kazakhstan has acquired Cherry Season and Wings of Love. GMA in the Philippines and HT Pictures in Vietnam have also just licensed Wings of Love.

In Africa and the Middle East That is My Life has been sold to Kana TV in Ethiopia and to Nessma TV in Tunisia.

Prentiss_eOneFNGCD is prepping a showcase for its Turkish fare during the upcoming LA Screenings, with talent and producers in town to press the flesh with international buyers.
