ProSieben books Play Date with Armoza

Formats-headerPlay DateGermany’s ProSiebenSat.1 has returned from MIPTV with a commission a new docu-reality series from Tel Aviv-based Armoza Formats.

Play Date sees two families, previously unknown to each other, watching their children from a hidden vantage point. They watch the dynamics before everyone scores the play date, with the week’s top-rated experience winning an indulgent vacation for the family.

Coming from Armoza and Createit Studio, the format runs to between 30 and 60 minutes per episode. ProSieben is the first to commission a local run.

“Nowadays family dynamics often revolve around the digital world, so with Play Date we are bringing back real interaction for parents and children,” said Armoza CEO Avi Armoza.

“This is a show that is not only fun and engaging, but also provides the perfect online community for viewers as they search for new activity ideas.”

Last week, ProSieben’s cousin, ProSiebenSat.1 Puls 4, acquired Austrian broadcaster ATV.
