Hulu’s Mindy Project coming to an end

Hulu comedy The Mindy Project is to end after a final, sixth season.

The series has been on air since 2012, initially on US broadcaster Fox and latterly Fox-backed on-demand service Hulu, which rescued it in 2015.

Hulu has now renewed the show for a sixth run that’s scheduled for September this year, with the series ending at its conclusion.

Universal Television produces the series in association with 3 Arts Entertainment, NBCUniversal International Distribution selling it internationally.

The show follows a skilled gynaecologist (Mindy Kaling) trying to navigate her personal and professional lives, while trying to become the perfect woman and find the perfect man.
