Latest territory launch for CBeebies

The dual-language, localised channel will reach more than 3.8 million households in cities such as Taipei, Taichung, Kaohsiung, Tainan and Chiayi.

BBC Worldwide, the BBC’s commercial arm, has been rolling out in regions such as East Africa, and the Middle East and North Africa in the past twelve months.

CBeebies programming that will feature includes Dinopaws, Hey Duggee, Sarah & Duck, and the Numtums.

“This is the first time that CBeebies programmes will be fully dubbed in Mandarin and launched as a channel in Taiwan,” said Kelvin Yau, BBCWW’s general manager for Greater China. “The channel is home to some of the most entertaining and educational programmes for young children and we are excited to share them with families in the region.”
