AB taps Upside for doc sales chief

France’s AB International Distribution has appointed Upside Distribution’s Arianna Castoldi to become its head of documentary sales.

She replaces Charlotte Tachet, and will be in charge of the company’s doc catalogue sales, presales and coproductions after spending four years with Upside.

Castoldi will also oversee distribution agreements with indie producers.

She joins from Upside, which is part of the Havas Group, while former doc sales chief Tachet has joined another French TV company, Zed, as international sales manager.

Zed recently appointed Chloé Persyn to replace Céline Payot-Lehmann as head of international distribution.

AB has a catalogue comprises factual programming, dramas and kids TV shows.
