You.i TV, a multi-screen video app platform provider for TV and media companies, has raised US$12 million in Series B funding, led by Time Warner Investments.
said it will use the funding to meet demand for its products, enhance its app designer workflow IP and continue to grow its partner channels.
New investor Vistara Capital Partners and existing backers Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors also participated in the funding round, andScott Levine, managing director, Time Warner Investments, will join the You.i TV Board.
Turner brands including TNT, TBS, and Turner Classic Movie’s soon to be released direct-to-consumer app, FilmStruck, also use You.i TV’s technology and Turner, which is a division of Time Warner, has begun to standardise its app development on the You.i Engine platform.
