Cineflix secures Borders

Border-Security-USA-main-imageDiscovery has acquired Border Security: America’s Front Line, the latest instalment in the Border Security factual franchise, for its Italian service.

Discovery has also picked up a new season of the original Border Security series, which goes out on the Seven Network in Australia.

The popular Border Security titles are sold by Cineflix Rights, which struck the Discovery deal.

The distributor also announced a raft of other sales including shopping a 120-hour package to Sky Italia.

Titles in that agreement included The Secret World of Lego and Motives & Murders.

In France, digital channel RMC Découverte has acquired WWII’s Greatest Raids and Hitler the Junkie. Fellow French broadcaster AB Sat has taken more than 50 hours including Unusual Suspects and How Britain Bridges the World.

The deals were closed by Sabrina Ayala, who has recently been promoted to senior VP Sales, France, Italy, Iberia, and Latin America.

Chris Bonney, CEO Rights, Cineflix Media said: “Cineflix Rights has seen consistent growth in the French and Italian markets in the last 24 months, expanding our network of clients and increasing the number of deals with existing broadcasters.

“Off the back of this success and our continued progress in Latin America, I’m delighted to announce Sabrina’s promotion.”
