Netflix’s Wet Hot Summer prequel gets sequel

Netflix has commissioned a sequel series to its Wet Hot American Summer

Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later follows on from last year’s Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp.

The new eight-part, half-hour will premiere on the SVOD service in 2017.

Akin with the original 2001 movie and the First Day of Camp, Michael Showalter and Daniel wain will write the scripts, with Wain directing.

The show will see several characters who meet up ten years after their previous antics. It will be set in 1991, with Bradley Cooper, Elizabeth Banks and Amy Poehler are among those returning.
