Chinese VOD net goes Running with Armoza

Formats-logo-460_2The Running ShowChinese on-demand platform TV.Sohu is co-developing a lifestyle format about running with Israel’s Armoza Formats.

The Running Show launched in Cannes this week at MIPTV after Sohu commissioned a first season, having been developed with Asian and international audiences in mind.

Armoza has Chinese and international pilots for the market, with the full Chinese series going into production later this month for an early summer air date.

The format sees a host going on a run with celebrity guests, stopping along the way to take a variety of challenges.

Yi Wang, development manager of TV.Sohu parent Sohu.com, said the format was “original and quirky”.

Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats, said: “At Armoza Formats we strongly believe that progress and creativity are closely related to connecting capabilities between cultures. We pride ourselves on bringing Israeli innovation and creativity to the market, and see our collaboration with Sohu as taking us one step further in creating the next generation of content.”
