Discovery Networks Italy and Telecom Italia have acquired the latest season of Russian toon Kikoriki New Adventures, while Spain’s TV Galicia and Estonia’s Russian-language net ETV+ have bought season one of the animated comedy.

The latter two channels have also bought animated adventure series Pin-Code, which is a Kikoriki spin-off, with ETV also taking The Bubbles, which comes from Studio Nebo.

Media I.M. has also closed a multi-territory deal with pan-Arab broadcaster MBC for Bionaut’s Rosa and Dara and their Great Adventures and Studio Atria’s Robodz. This comes after MBC closed a separate pan-Arab deal with Media I.M. in January.

“When we launched Media I.M. 18 months ago, we knew there was an untapped market in Eastern Europe for the sort of quirky imaginative children’s content that’s become our calling card,” said Irina Nazarenko, co-founder of Media I.M. “But these sales prove that premium family entertainment is in fashion everywhere, from San Marino to Djibouti.”
