CuriosityStream debuts on Roku

JohnHendricks_HeadshotFactual subscription on-demand service CuriosityStream has launched a channel on Roku apps and TVs.

CuriosityStream launched earlier this year, offering original shows and content from the likes of the BBC, NHK and Zed. Its US-focused Roku service will begin at US$2.99 a month.

“Making CuriosityStreamavailable on the Roku platform is an exciting next step in our evolution as a service, captivating curious minds with quality nonfiction programs,” said CuriosityStreampresident Elizabeth Hendricks North, whose father, John Hendricks, founded Discovery Channel in the Eighties.

“Since launching just a few short months ago, our growing media library continues to enchant our subscribers with meaningful documentaries on the topics that matter,” added Hendricks North. “We look forward to an equally engaging relationship with millions of Roku customers.”
