News brief: Ex-ITV ents chief joins K7 board

Former head of entertainment development at UK broadcaster ITV Clare Thompson has joined media consultancy K7 Media as non-executive director.

This comes as programming intelligence service K7 creates its first management board, which will also include managing director Keri Lewis Brown and Phil Birchenall.

Thompson developed formats such as Saturday Night Takeaway while at ITV, and was creative director of Core Media UK between 2013 and 2014.
