Big Brother returns to Mexico

150708_0629_big_brother_oz_2Big Brother is heading back to Mexico after a decade away.

The show most recently ran on Televisa in 2005, but is now coming back on platforms including PM Canal 5 and pay TV operator Sky Mexico.

Casting begins next month in cities across the country, with a launch on PM Canal 5, which is an evening programming block on Televisa-owned Canal 5, and Televisa-backed Sky set for September 21. The show will broadcast 24-7 on multiple platforms.

Endemol Shine Latino, which is part of Endemol Shine North America, is attached to the project.

A Spanish-language Big Brother for US Hispanic network Telemundo is in the works.

The Big Brother format (pictured) is one of the most successful reality shows of all time, and now sit alongside the big-hitting MasterChef in the Endemol Shine library following their parent companies’ merger at the turn of the year.
