Banijay’s Cuarzo appoints boss

Banijay-owned Spanish prodco Cuarzo Producciones has upped Xelo Montesinos to general manager.

She replaces company founder Ana Rosa Quintana who stays on as chair of Banijay Spain. Montesinos has been with Cuarzo since its inception, and content director since 2008.

Cuarzo has also made a new hire, with Victor García Martín taking a new research and creative role. He joins from indie Big Bang Media.

Andrea Olivas has been upped to director of Cuarzo’s long-running daily show El Programa de Ana Rosa.

Cuarzo was created in 2000 and makes entertainment show as well as drama. It was acquired by Banijay in 2009.
