News brief: 9 Story starts up Otis the Tractor

Canada’s 9 Story Media Group has optioned Penguin Young Readers book Otis the Tractor for television.

The Toronto-based production and distributor will seek to adapt the six-year-old book series as an animated series, and has taken licensing and merchandising rights.

The Philomel Books-published kids titles from Loren Long follow the titular Otis, a loyal and determined tractor.
