ORF strikes MIP deals

ORFEnterprise_Suburbia_Women_on_the_EdgeThe sales arm of Austrian pubcaster ORF has concluded a raft of MIPTV deals.

On the drama front, ORF-Enterprise has shopped its TV drama Suburbia – Women on the Edge (above) to SRF in Switzerland, and Germany’s ARD/Degeto has acquired crime series Tatort, which was also recently bought by TV2 in Denmark and Slovenia’s RTV.

In terms of docs, the MIP sales highlights include a package of ORF Universum factual shows being taken by Turkish pubcaster TRT, including Secrets of Bumblebees.

FTV Prima in the Czech Republic, TVP in Poland and YLE in Finland have picked ORF’s new 4k doc series Wild Venice (pictured), which has also been previously sold to National Geographic for its international networks and by SBS in Australia.

In kids, ORF-distributed series including Yummy Cooking with KidsTrick Factory and Cracker Snap have been picked up by Russian pay channel Ginger.
