Real Rob to meet MIPTV buyers

Rob Schneider’s self-funded scripted comedy series Real Rob is to debut as part of Tricon Films & Television’s MIPTV slate.

Tricon has acquired the “close to the bone” 8x30mins show, in which comedian Schneider and his younger Mexican wife play exaggerated versions of themselves and their celebrity life in Hollywood.

On the scripted front, Tricon will also be launching season three of Marc Maron comedy Maron, “steamy” drama-comedy Tainted Dreams, Erik Rivera – I’m No Expert and Gina Brillon – Pacifically Speaking.

New documentaries come in the shape of music series Rock Icons and Rubik’s Cube-themed 20 Moves, while factual and lifestyle programming includes Extraordinary Medicine, Off the Map with Shannen & Holly, Custom Built and The Expandables.
