Rai Com scoops journalist miniseries drama

Rai Com, the international sales arm of Italian pubcaster Rai, is taking a scripted miniseries about trail-blazing journalist Oriana Fallaci to Cannes.

Oriana stars Vittoria Puccini as Fallaci, a 20^th century journalist famed in Italy for her interviews with world leaders and coverage of war and revolution.

Rai Com will also offer new seasons of The Young Montalbano, The Family, Anti Drug Squad and Palermo Police Squad, new docs such as The Palio of Siena, and animated shows Pio the Chick and Dixiland.

Rai launched Rai Com last year to replace Rai Trade. The unit debuted at MIPCOM in October.
