News brief: Nick closes Festive deals

Various broadcasters have acquired Christmas-themed Nickelodeon programming from Viacom International Media Networks.

VRAKTV and YTV in Canada have bought Christmas special Santa Hunters, which debuted last month in the US to strong 2-11-aged ratings.

Meanwhile, Dora the Explorer special Dora’s Christmas Carol Adventure has gone to French FTA broadcaster TF1 and BestTV Network TV Technology Development Co in China. ABS-CBN Corporation in the Philippines, JKN Global Media Company in Thailand and Television Broadcasts Limited in Hong Kong also bought the programme.

Elsewhere, the Drake and Josh Christmas Movie Special has gone to Fiji Broadcasting Corporation.
