Icex brings Spanish producers to MIPCOM

Don't-Say-It-Bring-ItSpanish trade and investment body ICEX and producers’ association FAPAE are bringing 18 Spanish content companies to MIPCOM under the ‘Audiovisual from Spain’ banner.

The producers and distributors will have floorspace next to other Spanish content companies Imagina, BRB and the sales arm of pubcaster TVE. There will also be specific areas for Basque and Catalan companies at the market.

Highlights of the Audiovisual from Spain offerings include Plan B from Onza distribution in which a DJ collaborates with members of the public to create online music.

It was created by 7yaccion, which also made The Anthill, the show that uses social media to unite people who them make music to download. Onza added that French and Colombian deals are in the offing for The Anthill.

Phileas Productions will be in Cannes with the Audiovisual from Spain contingent, hoping for more sales of its Dont say it, Bring it! (pictured) format, in which contestants have to answer questions without speaking. It noted that a US cannel is piloting the show.
