MarVista scores VOD cable deals

CHANELLE PELOSO, ZENDAYAMarVista Entertainment’s new digital unit has struck a deal with US cable content distributor iN DEMAND.

This will see MarVista Digital Entertainment’s new release and library programming run on VOD services from the likes of Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Cox Communications and Bright House Networks via iN DEMAND’s Movie On Demand platform.

Disney Channel original movie Zapped (pictured) will be the first MVDE title added to the iN DEMAND line-up on September 15.

This comes after LA-based MarVista launched the new unit last month to acquire and sell digital programming.

“Our new relationship with iN DEMAND allows both MVDE and MarVista Entertainment to reach the broadest audience across the U.S. with our wide range of programming targeted to a diverse audience demographic,” said MVDE’s director of distribution Scott Kirkpatrick.

MVDE already has similar agreements in place with the likes of Amazon, AT&T, Vudu, Hulu and Vimeo.
