Russia sets out House Rules

House RulesRussian free-to-air broadcaster Ren TV has commissioned a local version of Red Arrow International’s Australian format House Rules.

The reality competition show sees couples hand over keys to their home to other competitors in order to attempt to have their entire mortgages paid off after a complete household renovation. Each week judges score the renovators’ efforts.

The Russian network becomes the first in central and eastern Europe to adapt the format locally. House Rules is an in-house Sevene series and comes from the same team behind hit reality series My Kitchen Rules, which has usurped MasterChef as Australia’s highest-rating cooking competition format.

Distributor Red Arrow International, part of the Red Arrow Entertainment Group, claims the second season of Seven Network’s original series of House Rules has “repeatedly” outperformed The Voice of Australia.

House Rules is an excellent brand, offering a multitude of sponsorship possibilities and online extensions,” said Shakira Hoffman, Red Arrow International’s senior sales manager, CEE.
