Discovery orders doc on missing Malaysian Airlines plane

Discovery has ordered a one-off doc about missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 for its international channels.

ITN Productions will make Flight 370: The Missing Links, which will examine how the plane has vanished and address some of the unanswered questions including those surrounding airport security, air traffic control and radar and satellite data.

Discovery will put the doc out across its 220-channel footprint this month.

Elizabeth McIntyre, Discovery Networks International’s production and development boss, commissioned the show.

Tom Gorham will executive produce it for DNI. “Flight 370: The Missing Links explores the events which have unfolded, focusing on just how this could have happened, and examining the inherent flaws in the eco-system of modern international travel,” he said.

Emma Read, head of factual and features, ITN Productions, added: “This documentary reveals what every passenger should know and the [aviation] technology being developed now to protect us in the future.”
