The show has performed very strongly on Channel 10 in Israel, improving its slot average by over 80%. Off the back of that performance, the broadcaster has ordered a second season of the show.

Dori is understood to have had offers from broadcasters and distributors for international rights to the show, but held off in the hope of striking deals in Cannes next week.

Specifically, Dori said it has held advanced sales talks with potential partners in the US, France, Netherlands, Italy and Spain.

In the reality format, eight couples face extreme challenges that will test how well they really know each other.

It was originated by Israeli prodco Abot Hameiri Productions, which also makes the local versions of X Factor, Survivor and Beauty and the Geek.

Nadav Palti, CEO & President of Dori Media Group said: Power Couple was only launched in Israel in February, it had a dramatic impact on Channel 10’s ratings and it has already established itself as a proven hit.
