Sony commits to international Crackle services

Comedians in Cars Getting CoffeeSony Pictures Television has told TBI that none of its international Crackle streaming services will be closed down beyond the UK service.

TBI was the first to report yesterday that Sony was shutting down Crackle in the UK at the end of the month.

The studio immediately confirmed its commitment to the original US service, which has a line-up of original programming including Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee (pictured) and catalogue programmes. It also has library movies.

However, Sony has now confirmed to TBI that the other streaming services outside the US will remain in operation.

Crackle is currently available in Australia, Brazil, Canada and Latin America. The service is available online, via connected TV apps and, increasingly, on Sony’s own online store.
