Discovery presents Deadly Dilemmas

Discovery Networks International has commissioned UK indie October Films to create a show that presents viewers with life and death choices.

In the 10x30mins Deadly Dilemmas, viewers will be given hypothetical situations such as whether fighting a great white shark or a crocodile would offer the best chance of survival or whether eating only carrots or burgers for the rest of a life would lead to a longer life span.

Denman Rooke, managing director of producer October Films, said: “Deadly Dilemmas is a fun, engaging series that relies on hard science to resolve some of the strangest debates you’ve probably had with your friends, and some others you’ve probably never thought of.”

Paul Connolly is producing, with Gareth Cornick and Rooke executive producing. Discovery’s VP, factual production and development Elizabeth McIntyre commissioned it, with Tom Gorham on exec production duties for DNI.
