Sunset+Vine poaches Fox’s Bevan for Asian op

Sports media production company Sunset+Vine has poached Huw Bevan from Fox International Channels to head up a new Asian operation.

Bevan has spent the past 10 years working as senior VP, production for FIC in Asia, and was previously at ESPN STAR Sports. He will now run Sunset+Vine Asia as managing director, based in Singapore.

Tinopolis-owned Sunset+Vine expects the new business to be operational by the end of this month, subject to formal registration procedures concluding.

Jeff Foulser, the parent company’s chairman, said: “It is clear that South East Asia presents some significant opportunities for Sunset+Vine in the production around big sports events and we feel that now is the right time to establish a dedicated operation in the region.”

“In Huw, we have identified the ideal person, with the established network, relevant business experience and local market knowledge to spread Sunset+Vine’s reputation for creative production excellence to a new audience.”

Sunset+Vine was recently appointed BT Sports’ primary production partner for its fledgling channel bouquet and produces its live English Premier League matches. It also has an extensive library of sport-themed programming, including the widely-distributed Gillette World Sport.
