FXX debuts September 2 in 72 million homes

Fox’s new entertainment cable network FXX will launch on September 2 and has secured carriage in 72 million US homes.

Full distribution in the US equates to about 100 million homes, giving the new net a sizable chunk of the addressable audience at launch.

As part of the pre-launch promotion Fox has created a dedicated website, GetFXX.com, to show would-be viewers where the new channel is in their area and where it is positioned on their pay TV operator’s EPG.

The programming line-up for the new net, which is a spin-off from FX, will be anchored in comedy and entertainment series and movies. It has already greenlit its first original show, adult toon Chozen (pictured) comes from the teams behind Eastbound & Down and Archer.
