The creator of the much-traveled UK factual entertainment format Come Dine With Me, Nell Butler, is leaving ITV Studios.
Butler will leave ITVS later this year. ITV’s commercial arm has produced numerous incarnations of CDWM around the world since Butler’s original UK version launched on Channel 4 in 2005.
It’s understood Butler is currently working on a two-day a week contract and on other shows, so the UK CDWM will be unaffected by her departure.
Alexander Gardiner, creative director, ITVS-owned prodco Shiver said: “During her enormously successful career at ITV Studios Nell created the sensation that is Come Dine With Me, ITV Studios most successful format around the globe. She has been a wonderful colleague to work with, warm, fun, creative and inspiring and we wish her the very best going forward.”
