News brief: BBC Two visits Tudor Abbey Farm

Tudor Abbey FarmUK terrestrial BBC Two has commissioned a six-part series looking at rural life in 16th century Britain.

Tudor Abbey Farm will follow archaeologist Peter Ginn and historian Ruth Goodman as they explore the medieval landscape of Weald and Downland Open Air Museum and piece together day-to-day life at the monastic farmlands of Britain in 1500.

All3Media-owned Lion Television is producing the 6x60mins show, which was a co-commission between Martin Davidson, BBC History and Business and Aaqil Ahmed, BBC Religion & Ethics. It will launch in the autumn.
