Ryan Seacrest to present, produce Million Second Quiz

Ryan Seacrest has cemented his place at the top of the presenting tree on US television by landing the job to host NBC’s upcoming live gameshow The Million Second Quiz.

Furthermore, The American Idol host will executive produce the show, which All3Media America, Studio Lambert and Universal Television are producing. However, Ryan Seacrest Productions is not attached as an official coproduction partner.

Seacrest last year scored a two-year deal with NBC that sees him contribute to a number of programmes on the Comcast-owned channel.

MSQ will launch on September 9 and take place over almost 12 full days, during which time it will be broadcast live from a huge hourglass-shaped structure in New York and see players compete in a number of challenges for a US$10 million prize.
