News brief: FilmOn cuts live cage fighting deal

FilmOn has cut a deal for live cage fighting.

The over the top service, run by controversial entrepreneur Alki David, will carry Badbeat 10, a series of live mixed martial arts cage fights from the Commerce Casino, California on August 9.

The ten fights on the bill will be broadcast on the LA local station KILM Channel 64, which is also owned by David. FilmOn will make the fights available globally, free-of-charge, on its online service.

Last week FilmOn announced a deal with RTVE to carry an international version of the Spanish pubcaster’s service.
