Eurosport inks Player deal with Xbox

Eurosport is launching an app for the Xbox 360 that will let viewers watch live and on-demand content through the games console.

The Eurosport Player app will roll out in 20 European markets, including Poland, the Netherlands and Sweden in the coming weeks, and will be available in 13 languages – though it is not available in France.

The Eurosport Player app will give subscribers that pay for the Xbox Live Gold service access to live simulcasts of the Eurosport and Eurosport 2 channels, as well as catch up services and live bonus content on selected events through multi-broadcast feeds.

Eurosport covers events including the Tour de France, US Open Grand Slam tennis, MotoGP Championships, the IAAF World Athletics Championships and German Bundesliga football.
