FremantleMedia hires Swedish boss

Magnuss-Karlsson-Lamm_FM-Sweden_MDFremantleMedia has recruited Magnus Karlsson-Lamm as the managing director of its Swedish division.

He will start in his new role in September and joins from commercial broadcaster TV4 where he is acting head of entertainment and deputy head of the programming department.

Karlsson-Lamm will manage all development and production operations in Sweden. Based in Stockholm, he will report to Daniela Matei, CEO Nordics, Central Eastern Europe & Balkans, FremantleMedia.

Matei said: “Magnus’ broad expertise in development, production, and management make him the ideal candidate to lead our Swedish operation and fuel the company’s future success.”

Karlsson-Lamm began his career as a presenter for SVT before becoming a producer and editor. He then went to work for MTV and SBS before joining TV4 in 2006. He has executive produced the Swedish versions of Idol and Let’s Dance.
