New French distributor launches with former M6 kids boss

Superights will sell family and kids content and has already picked up international rights to a raft of programming.

Titles include Pic Nic with Cake, the Submarine, Walking the Dog and Tomavistas-produced animated series based on the Thé Tjong-Khing books. It has just launched on VRT and RTBF in Belgium and NTR in the Netherlands and TVC in Spain.

Superights also has international rights to Canal+’s animated comedy Kika & Bob and said it is close to acquiring Gulli’s Zoli & Pokey.

The new distributor is backed by Axone Invest and Superprod founders Clement Calvet and Jérémie Fajner. Superprod is a French kids and family indie created in 2010. It is a copro partner on the Lassie animated series and made the animated feature Song of the Sea.
