AMC/Sundance gets new Asia Pac programming head

AMC/Sundance Channel Global has appointed a new head of programming and scheduling as one of three new hires in the Asia Pacific.

Donovan Castillo-Mohlman has been named in the position at the US cable channel’s Asia Pacific arm. He will be joined by Courtney Williams, who joins in the new role of managing director, business development and strategy; and Lorraine Ou, who becomes marketing manager for the region.

In further news, Sundance Channel has acquired 1x90mins and 9x60mins ITV1 drama Mr. Selfridge from ITV Studios Global Entertainment and 4x60mins miniseries Secret State from All3Media International for all of Asia. Meanwhile, Sundance Channel Malaysia has bought Oscar-winning doc Searching for Sugar Man and Palme d’Or winner Amour. Both will launch in coming weeks.
