Executive moves at wellness firm Veria

Zee-backed health and wellbeing TV firm Veria has upped a key programming executive and hired a National Geographic exec to run its programming sales operation.

Raymond Donahue has been promoted from senior VP of programming sales to chief revenue officer. In his new role, Donahue will oversee ad sales, programming sales and business development.

Subhash Chandra, chairman of Indian media giant Zee Group said: “Raymond has played an instrumental role in first establishing Veria Living Worldwide on the global front and, secondly, for overseeing and leading its sales team to year-to-year growth including an 80% increase in total programming sales.”

Separately, Veria has hired Jennifer Liang from National Geographic as head of global content sales. She will report to Donahue and run programme sales. Prior to Nat Geo, where she was senior director, worldwide sales and strategy, she has worked at HBO and MTV.

Veria is heading to MIPTV with a slate of health and wellness programming, which it produces from its New York studio.
