Tom Jennings becomes 1895 Films

Factual and fact-ent producer Tom Jennings Productions has rebranded as 1895 Films.

The company, which has made shows for broadcasters including Discovery, Tru TV, VH1 and A&E among others has just finished making Frozen in Time: Our History in 3D for 3Net.

Company founder Tom Jennings said the rebrand was part of a wider move to reach out to the international market.

He said: “Our goal now is to extend our reach internationally, as well as expand our programming focus to include more feature-length films, 3-D productions and scripted programming. Since 1895 was the year the Lumière brothers launched the brave new world of moving pictures, we thought it was a fitting way to mark our move into new geographic and cinematic territory.”
