Turner to roll out Monday Mornings internationally on TNT

Turner is to roll out its forthcoming David E. Kelley-produced medical drama Monday Mornings to its bouquet of international TNT channels.

The move will be similar to the way that the global broadcaster rolled out science fiction drama Falling Skies across its network of channels. The show will launch on US cable network TNT in February and Turner Broadcasting System International has partnered with its US counterpart to premiere on various TNT international channels.

Turner Broadcasting System International will also distribute the series to free-to-air broadcasters and pay TV networks in countries that it does not operate.

This follows a screening event held in London in October for international acquisition executives.

Monday Mornings is based on a novel by CNN chief medical correspondent Dr Sanjay Gupta and follows a group of doctors at work and in love. It is set in the fictional Chelsea General Hospital in Portland, Oregon and stars Alfred Molina (The Company) and Ving Rhames (Pulp Fiction). It is produced by TNT Originals and David E. Kelley Productions.
