Disney buys Henson’s Pajanimals

Disney has picked up animated series Pajanimals across a raft of territories.

The 52x11mins series is produced and distributed by The Jim Henson Company. Disney has acquired its Disney Junior channel in France, Italy, Benelux, Central and Eastern Europe, Israel, Turkey, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.

It will debut on Disney channels in the EMEA region this month.

In the US the show airs on Sprout and broadcast network NBC.

Patricia Hidalgo, VP content & programming strategy, Disney Channels EMEA said: “Pajanimals will perfectly complement our own programming like Tales of Friendship and the Goodnight Song which are part of the bedtime offering on our Disney Junior channels across EMEA.”
