Lagardere’s Bref to be remade in Spain, Italy and Canada
French series Bref (So) will be remade across the world after Lagardere Entertainment Rights closed a number of format deals.
The series, which airs on French pay TV broadcaster Canal+, is to be remade in Canada via TVA, while Picomedia & Bananas are making a local version in Italy and Shine Iberia is developing a Spanish version.
Separately, Lagardere Entertainment Rights, the company formerly known as Europe Images, is launching a number of new series at MIPCOM. The distributor will bring Dear Neighbours and The Wrinkled Minute to the market in Cannes.
Dear Neighbours is a 1125x1min or 187x6mins series produced by Ango Productions and Aubes Productions for TF1. It follows neighbours attempting to break records.
The Wrinkled Minute is a 41×1.5min series produced by LM Productions and Bakea Productions for Arte. It follow four old women who tell dirty jokes.
