Global Screen picks up German disaster movie for MIPCOM

Global Screen, the sales and distribution joint venture by Bavaria Media and Telepool, has acquired worldwide distribution rights to TV movie Heroes.

The 1x120mins disaster movie is in production and will debut on free-to-air broadcaster RTL next year.

The movie follows events after a disastrous experiment in a research laboratory causes satellites to fall to earth.

The German-language movie stars Christiane Paul, Christine Neubauer and Hannes Jaenicke among others.

Global Screen will launch it internationally at MIPCOM.

It will also be selling another RTL show from the same producer, Dreamtool Entertainment. It will have the third installment of DreamTool’s Treasure Hunt trilogy, The Hunt for the Amber Room.
