Alison Rayson exits as Emmanuelle Namiech becomes Target MD

Alison Rayson, the founder of Target Entertainment is leaving the UK-based distributor. The company was acquired by film distributor Metrodome last year and following Rayson’s departure, Emanuelle Namiech will become managing director.

Rayson will continue to work on unspecified projects with Target and said the decision to part ways with Target was an amicable one between her and the company’s new owners.

She said: “I am proud of how far Target has come since I founded it 13 years ago, but now feel ready to explore new opportunities in my professional life. I’m happy leaving the company in a strong commercial position and in the hands of an incredibly capable new MD.”

Namiech will join from FremantleMedia Enterprises, where she was senior VP, global content, next month. Before FremantleMedia, Namiech was director of acquisitions and coproduction at ITV Global Entertainment.

Emmanuelle Namiech said “Target is an exciting company at a key stage of its evolution and I am thrilled to be working with [Metrodome chairman] Mark Webster and the team to expand the business further. With support from Metrodome Group we plan to have an enviable portfolio of properties with worldwide appeal.”
